One Year Ago...

One year ago yesterday, I became a mommy again. Although he was one of the biggest surprises of our lives, our little Ry-guy is the perfect addition to our family. We couldn't imagine our life without him. One year ago, he was a tiny little "alien" with 10 little fingers and 10 little toes. He relied on me 100% for everything. Now, he still has those 10 little fingers and 10 little toes, but his independence has surely grown. He's not walking on his own yet, but walks around anything he can hold on to! He's a FAST crawler and loves to laugh. One year ago, he didn't even know he had fingers to grab or toes to eat. He didn't know what the feeling of "I'm hungry" or "I need a diaper change" meant. All he knew was that he needed me and trusted I could meet those needs. I pray that, after these last 365 days, I've done nothing but meet his needs and encourage him in his little ways to grow big, be confident, enjoy life, and keep exploring the newness of everything around him. We love you Ryder!

ON his 1st birthday... He's changed SO much!
